Clarkson, commanding officer of the 33d Infantry Division to Captain William Cameron Farrer, his aid-de-camp throughout the Pacific campaign, with the printed calling card of Captain Farrer's wife laid-in. The 33d Infantry saw action in New Guinea & Morotai, before participating in the Luzon landings in the Philippine islands where they continued to distinguish themselves in numerous pitched battles.
