New Impression of the original 1932 imprint. INSCRIBED & dated by the esteemed scholar D.T. Suzuki on the front endpaper. "To Charles T. Prutter(?) San: In remembrance of many a friendly deed shown by him to many ...of the countrymen who suffered miserably(1945) the outcome of their nation's leaders acts of utter stupidity. Ever gratefull, Daisetz. New York February 1957." A few of the words in the inscription were not clear to my interpretation, as is the exact spelling of the inscribee's name. Near fine in a near fine dj. (Trace of shelfwear at spine ends on dj.) Signed or inscribed Suzuki titles are notably scarce.
