Final Script. Dated: May 1, 1953. (90pp.) Near fine in peach-colored studio covers with bradbound blue mechanically produced sheets. White revision sheets are present as well. (Pencilled notes on blank reverse of a few pages) Directed by John Farrow, starring John Wayne in one of his signature roles as Calvary scout Hondo Lane, with actress Geraldine Page in her supporting Oscar nominated debut performance. Also features Ward Bond in the memorable part of Buffalo Baker. Originally released in the 3-D process. (BC)

At Murphy's Joint 16 August 1954" on the front endpaper. About fine in a priceclipped, otherwise Vg.+ or better dj. (Some faint traces of dampsoiling to lefthand edge of front cover of dj. A few drops of damping at base of spine on dj. One tiny chip at head of rear panel of dj. Spine on dj. age darkened, but still perfectly readable) A splendid association between the author, a noted surrealist, to a renowned contemporary artist in a copy of his FIRST novel which, upon publication, was widely praised by critics.
