Promotional POSTER. (19 7/8" X 30") Virtually fine on a silver mylar sheet, with gold titles & pink & yellow highlights depicting a photographic image of the actress affecting a pensive pose. (Pea-size rubbed spot & an even more tiny spot at bottom margin, not affecting the image. Folded as originally received in a plain brown sheet of protective wrapping, with a red adhesive strip sealing the poster within. An identical strip (now removed) was placed over the the reverse of the poster no doubt resulting in the tiny rubbed spot previously noted) One of the most lovely and fragile graphic renderings of the tragic star we have ever seen. (Light trace of foxing on blank outer covers) Features 2 full-color studies of Marilyn on either side of a black & white center image. Also includes a b&w photo postcard of Marilyn Monroe in a pensive moment during "The Misfits" shoot in the Nevada desert. An ephemeral piece which captures not only the actress' beauty but her vulnerability as well. (LR)
